My stunning and sophisticated French phone (photo taken just in time..)

Today was my first solo teaching experience, which didn't go too badly! Apart from the rowdy class of 5eme in the morning who were seemingly allergic to their chairs, the other groups were fine and more than happy just to spend the lesson asking questions and chatting to me in English/about England.

However, downside of living right in the school with a front door that opens on to the playground... I was rudely awoken from my OAP nap at midday by the sound of thumping on the glass of my big window/patio door. I'd accidentally left my curtain open the tiniest crack, and one of the kids in the playground at breaktime had obviously noticed, so I awoke to the sound of him banging on the glass and squashing his face against the window trying to peer in, before calling over all his friends. Cue sneaky hiding under duvet and playing dead...
