The Old School house, Dollar

The Old School House in Dollar was built in 1640 and originally the children were taught in the schoolroom on the ground floor and the teacher lived on the top floor.  For some reason it is easier to imagine scenes from the past when it is a miserable day - I can almost hear the bell ringing and the scuffle of feet as a gaggle of 17th century schoolkids hurry inside out of the biting cold....
