Life....as I See It

By StacyR

For my fellow doggy Blippers...

Found today and i just HAD to share...
As I am sure many of you can understand, my "furkids" mean the world to me and I pity the person who dare try to hurt them... :-)
Below is the verbiage:

"Just a Dog"
From time to time, people tell me
"lighten up, it's just a dog", or
"Thats a lot of money for just a
dog". They don't understand the distance
traveled, time spent, or costs involved for
"just a dog". Some of my proudest moments
have come about with "just a dog". Many
hours have past with my only company
being "just a dog", and not once have I felt
slighted. Some of my saddest moments
were brought about by "just a dog". In
those days of darkness, the getnle touch of
"just a dog" provided comfort and purpose
to overcome the day.

If you too, think its "jusy a dog" you
will probbly understand phrases like
"just a friend", "just a sunrise" or "just a
promise". "Just a dog" brings into my life
the very essence of friendship, trust and
pure unbridle joy. "Just a dog" brings out
the compassion and patience that makes
me a better person. Becasue of "just a dog"
I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly into the future.

For me and folks like me, its not "just a
dog". Its an emdiment of all the hopes
and dreams of the future, the fond memories
of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me
and diverts my thoughts away from myself
and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday people can understand
its not "just a dog". Its the thing that
gves me humanity and keeps me from
bring "Just a man or woman".

So the next time you hear the phrase "just
a dog", smile, becasue they "just don't
understand".
