The Glory of Autumn

It's not been much of a summer this year. And going by the temperature and frost this morning we just might zip past autumn and hit winter full on. However, it's a lovely sunny day today and that helps to set off the magnificence of certain plants at this time of year. From late spring through summer this clematis has superb yellow flowers. They then turn into these very tactile fluffy heads which I love just as much. And I always think that they remind me of Animal from the Muppets!
