Yesterday was a lot of clearing, sweeping and tidying to get ready for the pecan harvest and today was our first proper day doing the processing at the farm. Lots of things to learn and get your head around using machinery, things we've never done at home! Hugh was mostly sizing the pecans and spot checking while I was weighing out 450kg of prepacked pecans to be repackaged and vacuum sealed. A long day but interesting one and the owners took us to the neighbours pool after work for a swim and drink - win :)
