Winter flowers…

These crocuses seem to flower earlier and earlier each year. Hopefully it won’t be too long before the whole of the flower bed is full of colour. These three hardy early arrivals were out enjoying today’s blue skies and sunshine, a complete contrast to the cold, dreary weather that we’ve had for the last few days.

A large part of today has been spent pouring over train timetables, planning a day trip to London on Saturday, and then in a few weeks’ time a longer trip to the east of the country. Don’t ask me why, but January always seems to give me itchy feet...
