Snow Scrambling

Made the most of a weather window to head for the hills.
Had a days walk on Tarmachan Ridge - a great summer walk and a bit tougher in winter! And it was the wrong kind of snow! Not hard enough for crampons and not so soft to be impossible. We were able to walk on top of the snow in places but would then would disappear through and be wading knee deep. This was exhausting especially when I was trying to follow the track of my teenager - who has long legs!
It was one of those days that required a lot of swear words. But it did provide spectacular views and we had dinner at Mhor84 on the way home!
