Fragrance views wanted

These blooms thoughtfully gifted by a friend have opened out during our trip to the States. This evening the fragrance filled the lounge and Charlie pronounced “those hyacinths smell like p*%#”.
They certainly have a distinctive pong but I wouldn’t go that far. What do you say?
