Francis Frith - Bainbridge, Wensleydale - 1889

An old photo by Francis Frith of the small village of Bainbridge in Wensleydale where I grew up.

It is amazing how little has changed over the last 123 years. There hasn't been a new house built that would appear in the scene today, nor has any house disappeared. The road has been tarred and there are now road signs and a bus stop, but otherwise very little has changed, which I find amazing.
