Meuse Lane
The keen eyed and awake amongst you will have noticed that Cigs did not feature in the recent community blog post about 'Wot I did at New Year'. This was not due to a lack of effort. Oh no. The Ciglettes and I worked tirelessly to leave no stone unturned, covering literally dozens of metres pursuing our quarry. But to no avail.
And even my return to work was carefully managed to include a route that took me past the Straiton underpass, but once more I was unable to report back with any Cigs sightings.
I even absented myself from dinner last night to spend 3 hours scouring Google street view in the hope of spotting a new one for you. But no.
Thursday represented the last chance this week to have a go at Cigspotting; and did someone not plank a pointless meeting in the middle of my morning of work (with added Cigspotting as I flitted from Drylaw to the West End, from the Old Town to Restalrig; Seafield to the City Centre.
But as I scooted along Leith Links, I spotted the Cigs flatbed van; I snapped it along with a dog pissing on someone's tyres (sadly not the Cigsflatbed). In a slightly different location on Claremont Road I pondered about the legitimacy of posting the shot. To that end, I pondered over a free coffee in McDonalds in South St Andrews Street. And as I pondered my gaze fell upon Meuse Lane.....
I'd arranged to meet her for lunch; you can imagine her delight when all excited I greeted her with the great news. As you can tell from the photo, the rage had subsided to a mere wanting to kill me feeling by the time we'd traipsed through the station and dodged a couple of trams to get the shot.
