Meanwhile, in another part of the forest...

...there were no Mongoose today, although we did see tracks and traces. There were also Wild Boar tracks, and traces of Badger.

In the meantime, I seem to be a little obsessed with these seed heads.

The campsite is very quiet now as people make their way home after the winter holidays. An earlier count totalled just six units including ourselves. Maybe things will perk up tomorrow for the weekend
The site facilities (Bar, restaurant and shop) are open tomorrow and we plan to give the restaurant a second chance, though they did not impress last Sunday.

The coming week should bring with it an outing or two, at least one of which promises great photo opportunities. In the meantime, I keep my eyes open for any passing Lynx.
