Passed!!! Yaaaay

Today Jon received the results of the 3 day course he did last October. Professional Tree Inspection. Effectively he now has a piece of paper to prove he has a huge amount of knowledge about all things tree related, gathered over 30 plus years in the business, plus those 3 days. Not only did he pass a course which they were told only 30% were likely to pass because it has such a high pass mark of 70%, but he passed with 86%. I’m proud of him, and justifiably, he is proud of himself. It just makes me so cross that he has tried so hard to prove this at interview after interview, without that bit of paper as ‘proof’, but no one has been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, he is happy working for Ace of Spades now; at last he has found a genuine trustworthy manager who believed in him from the start. He will be looking to get his own Tree surveying work now, on the days he doesn’t work for Ace of Spades. He will grow confidence in his own ability, which has been knocked over the last 3 years. Just another step on the ladder.

I haven’t done much. Work was the same as always. Head has been the same as always. Road was dark and foggy driving home.
