Abstract Drill Bits and Wide Wednesday Results
I spent this afternoon fixing up an outside light on our garage wall which inevitably involved drilling holes and sorting through my increasingly battered looking collection of masonry bits. They need sorting out so here are a few of them lit with off camera flash pointed straight at the tips.
Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting
And - the results for Wide Wednesday widwed100118.
I have had a few problems with finding all of the entries, sometimes seeing nothing from the tag, and then three pages of entries - so apologies if I have missed yours or not left you a thank-you for entering. I have submitted a ticket which Annie has responded to.
As ever, a difficult choice and the foggy weather clearly caused problems for many UK blippers – although that has brought out the inventive streak in several of the entrants.
In no particular order I’ll award the five favourites to:
Freyad – light and shade in abundance, sharp as a tack and great perspective giving a sense of depth to the image.
Doyley22 – shadow in the foreground turns to highlight in the distance, a great sense of perspective too.
Miranda1008 – the fog which caused many of us to modify our plans is an integral part of the image here.
Robert10 – making use of the fog and I liked the silhouettes.
RobBris50 – beautiful reflections and catching the shadow of the bridge on the rock wall.
Honourable mentions to:
JDO – glorious geometry and her usual entertaining write up!
Kagsy – thought provoking and a splash of colour too.
DavidC – an inventive way to get around the foggy weather
Honeycombebeach – not the usual wide Wednesday entry
RockArea – a glorious beach scene – one of several sunshine filled entries – I’m not envious!
Thanks to everyone who entered - the theme for next week is Travel and the tag will be widwed170118, the themes for the next few weeks are here in Bobsblip's note in the challenges section of the community message board.
