Christmas Tree Festival

Every year the local church has a Christmas tree  festival when local groups and charities decorate a tree to raise funds. This is the tree from Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice , the group that I do my volunteer driving for. The whole church looked splendid with so many trees, this one was of course the best!!  Another tree that caught  my eye came from a local doctors surgery and was decorated with bandages,  toy stethoscopes and hypodermic syringes, inflated rubber gloves, sample tubes of blood etc (hopefully mock-ups) and topped by a decorated cardboard bowl as found in most medical supply cupboards. I thought this was great fun, really original and appropriate for the group it represented. I think my views were very much in the minority and I am guessing the tree will be very different next year, if they are invited back.
