Ladies night

I've been out tonight with the good ladies of the village.  Although there weren't too many of us out this evening as some are still struggling with the flu that has been going around.  Ladies night was set up about 30 years ago, by the ladies who had small children and once a month left their husbands in charge and got out for the evening.  They are still going strong and all the ladies in the village are invited. I found out plenty of gossip about the village, which was lots of fun.

Aside from this, it's been a pretty much run of the mill day, we didn't venture out this afternoon - I'd planned to go out for a coffee, but the youngest woke up late from his nap and the eldest was not impressed with the idea of going out.  Of his many new words, 'rain' and 'back' (which means home), made it clear that he wanted to stay put.  So we did.
