Unpaid advert

Today I shared with my mom that I wrote a book. No questions asked, she gave me a big hug and said she was proud of me. She admired the cover (designed by my son), then asked me what that word was that started with A-l-z-h . . .

I have felt hesitant to tell her about this project given that she doesn't really understand her situation, but I think there's enough in the book that's positive that--if she could understand and remember that the book is about our shared journey on the caregiving path--she wouldn't mind.

I am giving a reading at Village Books in Fairhaven this Saturday at 4. If any of you blipfriends are available, it would be lovely to see you there. You all know "the rest of the story" since the book's narrative ends before she moves into Silverado.
