Beware - Low Flying Herons

I wasn't very optimistic about getting a decent Blip at the park this morning as it was grey and grim, but I was surprised by a heron at the boating lake. Thankfully I had the compact which has a bit of a zoom on it, although he did let me get quite close despite me having the dog in tow. A few more shots in extras. 

I am not sure there any fish left in the lake - he flew off without his breakfast. 

We had a new tenant all ready to move into our rented house this morning - I have notified all the utilities and the council, read all the meters, ordered new cards and this morning he decided he would be moving to Germany instead. As you do. So now I am on hold with Ecotricity (if you have ever come across them you will sympathise...) trying to sort it all out. Grrr!!!!

Thanks for the love for Thistle the hedgehog - he has plainly been up all night partying as his cage is an absolute disgrace this morning.
