Derelict Palace

It has been a sunny day with deep blue skies - in the sun it was quite hot. We went out for some supermarket essentials and took a scenic route to get some fresh air and different views.  I noticed this ruined building on the outskirts of Torrevieja which seemed to be impenetrably fenced.  However, there is almost always a way through - and we found it, so able to explore more closely.  It was in a bit of a state though and it was impossible to actually get inside the main part - probably just as well, as it did look as if it would topple at any moment,  The building looked as if had been palatial in its day but now, neglected and falling down, it is surrounded by a modern housing development and an hotel opposite.  Sad.

We moved on for the shopping and are now back at the villa for a meal and a glass bottle of Rioja
