Home sweet home
After 8 days away, today we arrived home.
We've been most of the way around the South Island of New Zealand.
After many kilometres, lots of motels and more beautiful views than you can shake a stick at, Cousteau and I spent a happy few hours at our beach, making sure that it was still there. Playing in the dunes, stick throwing, running, chasing and relaxing looking at others doing stuff was just the ticket after a busy itinerary.
Cousteau has been an absolute star throughout. He's been moved from pillar to post, travelled in a hot car, been dragged along lakes and up mountains (well, big hills). He's sat through many a coffee break, been fussed over by lots of tourists and slept on a blanket in different motel rooms each night.
Neither of us has slept terribly well during our break. Cousteau is out for the count on his bed and I won't be long before heading to mine.
Grandparents suitably impressed with their grandpuppy.
This is Cousteau, 'finding' me when I was hiding in the dunes.
Fab time and good to be back. :)
I'll back blip over the weekend.
