The white structure on the left of this blip is one of the remaining standing parts of the Crystal Palace. 

We met the birthday boy Si in a Crystal Palace pub for a blether then walked briskly through the park to another pub for some food. It was lovely to meet some new folk and catch up with old acquaintances. Si was in fine form and wee Rae is fairly toddling about now.

In the evening, Fred and I saw our first ever ballet, at Sadler's Wells. It wasn't a typical one as it was Matthew Bourne's Cinderella, set during WWII. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely book to see a Bourne production again. Hey, we may even try a more traditional ballet.
