Dawning
I lost an arm on my last trip home. My left arm.
Early start. Long drive back to Scotland. Phone calls to Hungary and Holland from the front seat. Fog.
My car is unharmed in the lay-by outside Abington services. I take Tracey to Peebles to catch the 62 and then head home for a sales call with some folk in Illinois.
Salad and steamed potatoes for tea.
My own bed.
