Sale 15 Lyon 13

To the AJ Bell Stadium to watch Sale Sharks beat Lyon 15-13 in the European Rugby Challenge Cup. It was an entertaining game, with a tight finish. Two matters of note:

The stadium announcer had some difficulties identifying what was going on. He informed us that that a Lyon penalty was scored by their number 5 - when it was clear to everyone in the crowd that it was number 10. Then, as a huge Sale player took the field as a substitute, wearing a number 20 shirt, he said that the player in question was "number 19 Josh Beaumont." Right player, wrong number but that didn't prevent him from scoring the winning try for Sale a few minutes later.

Sitting behind me in the first half a very posh, loud type made continuous attempts at wit, successfully, it seemed, impressing his girlfriend but annoying everyone else.  Just before half time the chap sitting next to me said "we're going to move seats in the second half, to get away from that ****. A wise move.
