Leading Lines

I'm still playing catch-up, having had no energy to post on the day last week. I guess I'm still trying to work out how best to make blip work for me this year. The response to my picture of the tarn yesterday caught me completely by surprise. That wasn't really supposed to happen on a day when I was barely giving any thought to photography.

Images that hold a sense of unreality have a great appeal. I'm lucky to live near a few magical places like that. Thank you all so much for the gush of love. It's impossible not to glow in the flow of all those individual notifications. There's a sense of being blessed. Nature, please take a bow. You did good!

Today - the day of the photograph as opposed to the day of writing this up - saw a return to the interminable grey weather that we've seen so much of this last few weeks. I took a very slow walk around town and ended up taking a surprising number of photographs that I quite liked. There is no doubt that being forced to slow down - in one's head as well as in one's body - is good for the process of seeing.

Thanks again for all the support folks.
