White faced heron

Goodness it was windy today.
The walk took on a new aspect today as in some places I felt I was almost like a cartoon character walking at 45 degrees to the ground. 
This heron, who I often see at a distance ,was taking cover from the wind at the Boathouse.

We will be watching the weather closely as we have a boat excursion to the Hawksbury river later in the week, and this wind would make it very uncomfortable.
