Blackmuir Wood

First day back to work; great.

Joking aside I always feel thankful that there is work to come back to. I get jittery every time it gets slightly quiet.

There was some lovely spells of autumn light today but I missed them all with the camera. Our survey site was near this weedy looking loch on the outskirts of Strathpeffer. Its a nice spot. The last time we were here we had to survey the loch too with the assistance of a man in a Canadian Canoe.

The ultimate aim of the project we were involved in will be to enhance the environment for a species of newt called the Great Crested.
