Purakaunui

We drove down to The Catlins today.  Stops in Balclutha then in Owaka, before we headed south to Purakaunui.

I've never seen so little water coming over the falls.  I had decided I couldn't be bothered with my tripod in the intense heat so the shot isn't the best I could have done - but hey; I was there, I photographed.  It'll do me!

We then headed to Matai Falls but Sebastian was pushing to get on to a beach so instead of stopping we headed straight down to Curio Bay.  There were hundreds of people there so we had a swim and then left.  

None of us could face camping with that many others, so we went back to Pounawea (a favourite of mine) for the night.  Ben joined us in the evening and we are all off to Te Anau tomorrow.
