...with the 'ruff' in place though hopefully by tomorrow Astro will be 'ruff' free.

The cornea has been scratched (yet again!) and treatment  involves sewing up the third eyelid flap to protect the cornea while it heals.
Apparently this happens more often in young, naive and excitable dogs ...hey he's an old dude now! But he is a bonkers Staffy who just can't help himself.
The ruff will prevent him from scratching and pawing at his healing eye and in the past he's only needed it for a couple of days...we live in hope!
