Beach life

Again, we followed Martin's advice and got a taxi to the lighthouse (Faro) in Maspalomas. A fifteen-minute walk from there brought us to a great spot for sun-worshipping and sporting in the sea. It clouded over later on, so we packed up and walked the entire length of the rest of the beach back to where we'd been on Saturday.

A stop-off at the Riu Hotel finished off the afternoon. This hotel has a splendid terrace with wonderful views of the dunes of Maspalomas, and we'd timed our visit to perfection, getting there just as the sun was setting, which made the experience something really special.

The day involved a lot of walking, and we were pretty tired when we got back to our bungalow, so tonight turned into a stay-at-home one. We rented The Hunger Games on iTunes and finished watching that around 1:00 am.

This rather bland description totally fails to convey what a really wonderful day this was.
