Woodland on a rainy day

Today has been yet another dull and rainy day, it did brighten up briefly in the afternoon but then there was yet another burst of heavy rain to finish the day.

I had to make a trip to the tip in Saffron Walden and on the way home stopped for this woodland scene in the rain.

The colours are quite subtle and pleasing... These woods are part of the Audley End Estate and a large sign makes it very clear that walkers are not welcome. I took this photo over the gate...
