Foundry

Formerly Barrhead Sports Centre, the Foundry took on its new identity a few years ago. The name, chosen by a local resident, reflects not only Barrhead's industrial heritage but also the facility's expansion to include an award winning community library, business centre, employability teams, IT learning suite and several meeting rooms. Thus it is a place where many materials, be they ideas or aspirations, can meet and be forged into actions and results. It is also where I hold my regular Barrhead surgery, one of ten I hold across the Renfrewshire South Constituency each month.
