Lake Tennyson - getting bogged!

We had a great day on Sunday. First up was driving down the Amuri Skifield road, without getting bogged down in the ruts and channels, (see an image of the road in Extras) and then getting my car safely into this boggy area. And I didn’t get it bogged there either. Yay! I was stoked with the way it performed. A Subaru XV, it’s got the best height clearance of the SUVs (equaling the Audi) , plus with its automatic difflock, we were set.
We found little green orchids, sundew bog plants (they eat insects), spaniards, and lots of grasshoppers.
So yes, we did get ‘bogged’, and some of us got very wet indeed!
The scenery was amazing. We’re so lucky in NZ!
