Water Lane ...

Disappointment - my lovely comfortable Timberland sandals have broken a strap: Need to get them mended soon for a trip to son's sun.
Foreboding - got to take sandals into Canterbury which is an access nightmare: take the faithful Kona.
Prognosis - Bad: Can't be mended. "Return them to the shop....." (in Dubai???) Oh Well!
Hope - Have camera. Perhaps the torrents of rain will have produced a gem?
Suspense - Nothing in the likely spots: light not right.
Compromise - Nothing wonderful near Westgate Tower either ....Pedal the Kona up hill and then down the half flooded lane. Yuk!
Compensation - No sandals: plenty of puffing and some satisfying pictures.
Compassion - For all the motorists who have to paddle to reach their cars tonight in the dark.
Gratitude - to Blipfoto: for transforming the mundane into a bit of an expedition.
