Red over Grey

When I woke this morning to lashing rain I thought any hopes of getting my camera out where dashed until I looked out of my front widow. Our recently planted Acer was just a blast red hot leaves. Its been looking really good over the past few days with cold nights and cold sunny days bringing out the colour but add a few hours of rain and the leaf colour is just intensified 3 fold. The pic here has not been modified apart from a bit of brightening so its pretty much the correct colour and lights up what is a very grey Edinburgh day.
