The wheat fields of Western Australia
....seemed to go on forever with huge expandable silos to collect the wheat in after it is harvested. Tonight we stopped in the mining town Kilgoorlie but little to be seen as it was dark. Kilgoorlie has Australia's largest gold mine (the super pit) which is 3.6 k long, 1.6 k wide and 512 metres deep (and growing). It works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and produces 28 tonnes of gold a year.
