Luck be a Lady Tonight

We had booked to see Guys and Dolls 12 days ago, but I wasn’t well, so we changed the tickets to a 5pm performance today.

I wasn’t sure we’d make it. J caught my bug and hasn’t been well. But she was sufficiently improved to make it today. We travelled to Manchester physically, and New York and Broadway spiritually.

It was excellent. The Talawa Theatre Company, an all black cast, really good. A terrific band (we were trying to work out where they were, the mystery solved at the end). And a good production overall - I’ve never seen the film, so I cannot compare Ray and Ashley with Frank and Marlon.
