Burgh le Marsh
Many places in Lincolnshire feel like a time warp from the 1950s or earlier, but perhaps Burgh ("burrer") more than any other - I've applied "nostalgia" filter to try and emphasise that. I do like the lampposts :).
This was scene of my first sale - just £100, but tbh that was a miracle given that it was a chap closing his photography business as it was losing money and has now become a minibus driver for the boarders at Skegness Grammar School (where Hilary and I got down to the final two to be Houseparents 17 years ago). That was after 3 no sales, including one where the lady did the tasting on the doorstep as she had "dangerous dogs" inside (bear in mind it was 1°C with a biting wind!). It was starting to look like a frustrating day of the old 'mug delivery service', and not even any nice chats, but then things got better and better and I made two excellent new customers and sold over £1000 - and even better, was home by 7pm to have tea and a chat with Bex.
