Chilling
And possibly sloping around a bit. I just a month old was no doubt having an afternoon siesta,
Blip is of my mother sitting under the house with our dog Sloper. My father always tenderly referred to him as Faithful Sloper. I am not quite sure if he had him before he married. Quite possible as he had been brought up with dogs and in his youth in the countryside of Norfolk had two terriers. Both he and my mother were always animal lovers and for most of the time, we always had dogs in the family.
I think my father said that when he had got Sloper, he was told it was a Peruvian or Columbian mountain herding dog. Looks like a Labradoodle to me. Sadly I don't remember Sloper myself.
Just for interest - at the top of the middle back stilt, one can just make out an upside-down plate around the pole. This was a metal cowling to try and prevent some of the smaller sticky creepy crawlies from making their homes in or under the house,
