Cross on the hill at LLuc monastery

We collected our hire car yesterday so now we can venture further afield.

Our first stop today was at Lluc where we visited the monastery and climbed the little hill behind it which gave us amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The last time I was in Majorca we heard the choir boys singing here, but hadn't realised that they don't sing on Saturdays, so no little concert for us this time.

From here we drove through the mountains on a very twisty road, heading for Soller, only to be turned back by the police 6km short of Soller because they had closed the road for a car rally! The diversion would have taken so long that we decided just to cut our losses and head back over the twisty road to Puerto Pollensa!
