Hydrangea

Normal summer service began to resume today and it was warm (and muggy, after all that rain yesterday).  I swear the lawn has grown half an inch overnight!

Hydranges are looking quite nice.  I've been feeding them with coffee grinds which is supposed to make the soil more acidic and help turn them blue but these are the pinkest I've seen them for years!!  Back to the drawing board on that one I guess.

PS No sign this evening of the starlings from a couple of nights ago though interestingly, the council have been out and cut their second tree meeting spot down just along the road!  Hope the birds haven't got the hump and left :(
