Today had the chance to check the operation of the self-driving car, Juto, on the public road. We are trying to find out whether automated vehicles can be trained to drive all by themselves on snowy and icy roads as well, and not just on the dry and clear roads in sunlight. The results look very promising, the robot car system works even during light snowing, when the blip was taken. The developers still keep a person in the car on public roads so that he can take over control if something would go wrong.
