Ian

I haven't seen Ian for a number of years since he moved to Somerset. We've known each other for 30 plus years and had quite a few adventures together. We always exchange Christmas cards and this years' included his mobile number asking for mine. I texted him & he came back to say that if I was around he would I like to meet up for lunch which we did today. It was really good to see him. We had a great laugh about old times over lunch & coffee & before we knew it more than 2 hours had passed by and he was thinking about his 4 hour drive home.
We exchanged email addresses as I had found some old pictures of him & his wife when they were very young and he in turn said he had found some of us, which made him smile. We both promised to scan a few & send on - I can imagine a few titters in Buckinghamshire & Somerset in the next few days. We also promised to try to repeat this meet up with a few of our old mates who we are no longer in touch with but easily could be......

I saw Dave & Nikki just before I met Ian. Dave has been suffering with a bad case of the flu and its only in the last few days that he has felt better .
Back home via the Canal basin (see extra)

We were due back at Slimming World today but because of the windy weather last night I had to carry out a temporary repair to the summerhouse roof when I got in. The wind had managed to get under the roofing felt & had flipped some of it over the wrong way - I've put it back & made some patches but I know I have got to renew it asap.
