The Gentleman's Grooming and Shaving Parlour.

I wasn't aware that we had one of these near us - and I am referring to the Parlour, not gentlemen!
And for anybody who wasn't aware of the significance of the red and white striped pole, it was used (in a bygone age) to indicate that Barbers would also carry out bloodletting. The pole itself signified the pole that the patient would squeeze to make the veins in their arms stand out prior to the procedure, whilst the red stripe was blood and the white stripe the bandage that  stemmed it.  Any takers??
