Lamb Passes The Taste Test
Last night we went to Trader Joes before we went out for Thai. We picked up a couple of boneless lamb roasts to turn into Navarin of Lamb next weekend for the big birthday dinner.
Obviously the thought of them being in a fridge for a week was too much for Tom, who suggested we should roast one tonight, "just to make sure it tastes OK before we serve it to friends".
Yeah, right!
So we roasted it and ate it with a bunch of asparagus that had seen better days, Michael Caine's roast potatoes and a cider gravy.
Rest assured friends that the lamb is good, and will be safe to eat next Saturday, assuming of course that there is any left ;)
