Like losing an old friend?
This is our last day this year on the Cami de Cavalls in Menorca. Today we walked between Cala Pilar and Pregonda. The hardest walk we have done round the island. It's like walking two Cader Idris's in one day, but with a warm sea to greet us at the end of the walk and the sizzling of your feet as they enter the water makes it all worthwhile. The picture shows the remains of one of the ever present cami way marks having been depleted by a hill fire. This is the most well marked walk we have ever done. Every junction is clearly marked and you would have to walk around with your eyes closed to miss a marker post. Which sadly I have done a couple of times but the absence of a way mark within a hundred yards makes you realise you have gone the wrong way. This is a great walk on a continually changing landscape. We commend it to any long distance walkers.
