Snow.
This isn't the blip I expected to have. We noticed that the Alaskan Malamute Club were having a rally in the forest. Great we would go up and get some shots of the "Huskies". For competitors the gates opened at 7:00 followed by scrutineering etc with the event starting at 9:30:
So up early ready for 9:30 ish and drive up to the forest. The gate the competitors were entering by was closed, fair enough they had been there since 7:00. A couple of hundred yards down the road was the car park for the forest. Wrong! The car park had disappeared and been replaced by a locked gate.
Unable to find out if the event was on or not we circumnavigated the forest pausing a couple of times to take photos. This shot is from near the Eycott Hill reserve, looking towards Carrock Fell.
