Dark Sky

I've been wanting to try astrophotography for a while now, tonight was very clear so I drove out to Cawfield Quarry near Haltwhistle for a bit of practice. Once the moon went down the skies were amazing... so full of stars! I spent a couple of hours trying various settings to see what works best but eventually my feet were so numb I had to call it a night! I think I'll go back when it's just a little warmer.... even the camera was covered in frost by the time I left!
