Devon Rainbow

Our last day in Devon but before leaving stopped at a nature reserve where we watched ducks and waders in the estuary including wigeon (extra), redshank, greenshank and teal. The other extra is of a very vocal robin in the hedge.

It was a day of mostly sun and occasional showers providing me with the rainbow in the main photo.

We decided to return via the motorway which was not a good choice as the M5 was closed part way home and the sat nav redirected us through Kidderminster on small winding roads that made it a very slow journey. 

We left Devon in warm sunshine but on returning home had a shock to find snow and ice. We had gone in my car and when F tried to start his to go home it wouldn't go - the battery was flat. He used the jump leads from mine and got it going so managed to get home!
