Julie Fowlis at Celtic Connections

Excellent event at Glasgow City Halls. A sell out. She sang many of the numbers from her new album "alterum", as well as some old favourites. Julie has beautiful voice.

A brilliant band, some of our finest musicians - including Eamon Doorley, Tony Byrne, Duncan Chisholm, Ewen Vernal, and Donald Shaw.

One highlight was Julie playing full pipes at the end.

Support was Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh from Ireland. She was superb also, and has recently been involved in BBC alba broadcasts with Julie.
