Catching the storm
I did say snow was on its way - although wasn't too forceful as the snow forecast lately has been dire. So we all went for Sunday lunch at the Cow & Calf - in a snow storm!
It was lovely watching the huge flakes of snow fly past the window but perhaps not so lovely, the doubled journey time for R&H to get home to Flamborough.
I then headed out with Little Dog onto the moors but, by this time, the snow had turned to rain. And it rained cold thick droplets all the way to the top. And all the way back down. I even put Little Dog's coat on at the hut as we turned left; it's always draughty on the way down from there, even on a summer's day! It was quite a march to keep warm and I've built up another Sunday dinner appetite - shame we only have soup for tea.
There were some semi-frozen soggy sheep that came close to being blipped today but I liked the way the dampness has been adding to the ice sculptures here as the stream bounces through.
