The real Mont Blanc

It's counter intuitive, but the best way back for us to our home in France from Vence in the South of France is via Italy.
Thus it was that we took the 12 km long road tunnel under Mont Blanc from Aosta to Chamonix.
I have blipped Mont Blanc before, but from a distance and from the North side, where it looks big, white, imposing and beautiful.
From the sunny south side there is less snow and from closer its true nature becomes clear...fierce, stark, rugged and dangerous.
We are off on a vacation to-morrow, so my blips and back blips may be intermittent...please be patient, I hope they'll be worth it!
